The Basement Crew returns from the 4th of July break with two weeks worth of awesome books ready for review! Well....mostly awesome. Ok, really it was kind of a half and half thing. Some were good, some really weren't. But that's what you're watching Pete's Basement for! So you know which ones to avoid! Van Jensen's Cryptocracy and Eric Powell's Hillbilly are two books you DEFINITELY want to get a hold of!

Everyone's gone nuts over in Marvel thanks to The Red Skull's Hate Wave, and Captain America, the Mighty Avengers, and Iron man are all feeling the ramifications of it! Pete and Ramon talk about where this could all be going, and how long its gonna' take to get there. Also out this week a creepy Men in Black meets Invasion of the Body Snatchers over in Deep State, superpowers in your past lives in Resurrectionists, and a late-night drive-in movie with killer snowmen in Grindhouse: Slay Ride. Oh yea -- and there's still a week to go on our Game of Thrones Iron Throne giveaway!

The boys list their Top 5 Episodes of Batman: The Animated Series. And speaking of cartoons, Batman gets roofied as the fellas review DC's newest animated feature: Son of Batman. Two weeks worth of books round out this week's episode, including Ultimate FF, Hulk, Solar: Man of the Atom, Elektra, Conan, the return of Jack Bauer in 24, Original Sin, and more!
