Books and Pop Culture Collide at ReedPOP's BookCon

ReedPOP, the world's largest producer of pop culture events, is adding another one to the pile of experimental events with the launch of BookCon -- a one-of-a-kind interactive experience where books and pop-culture collide.

Making it's debut during Book Expo America (BEA), the number one book and author event in the United States, in New York City on May 31st at the Javits Center, BookCon will be headlined by best-selling authors and the world’s illest Hollywood talent, and feature a series of panels, podcasts, author Q&A’s, quiz shows, and mucho, mucho mas such as panels with comedians Amy Poehler and Martin Short who are writing books to be published this fall by HarperCollins. Plus you can expect an event with best-selling novelist John Grisham and the man himself Stan Lee.

Located in the publishing capital of the world, BookCon is crafted to appeal to creative-minded, passionate, modern-day book lovers who also have an appreciation for broader pop-culture. With all the panels, podcasts, autograph sessions and Q&A's, attendees will get total immursion in the world of writing, and how it influences the world around us.

“We’re in the unique position, as the producers of BEA, to curate the best talent and publishers and deliver them to fans through a truly interactive experience. BookCon is the ultimate celebration of books giving book lovers access to their favorite authors and wherever they intersect with TV and film,” said ReedPOP’s Global Senior Vice President, Lance Fensterman.

BookCon joins the biggest geek-culture event on the East Coast – New York Comic Con – and the recently announced comic book ONLY event for fans - Special Edition: NYC to become the third huge convention event that ReedPOP brings to New York City this year. Get more information on the event and purchase tickets at
