Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens Official Trailer

It has been a decade since fans have visited a time long ago in a galaxy far, far away, and now there's less than three months to go. With the first official trailer hitting the world yesterday, fans are finding that short wait to feel like another decade in itself. Check it out below and join in on the excitement.

Set 30 years after Return of the Jedi (Episode VI), Star Wars: The Force Awakens is a continuation of the adventures of well known and new characters in the universe, and fans can't wait. Shortly after the trailer dropped, tickets went on sale, causing servers for online ticket providers such as Fandango to crash!

Movie theatres are offering a lot of different incentives and collectibles to fans and movie goers to make this more than just another flick hitting the big screen. This is more than just a movie! 

Participating theatres will be offering a Star Wars Marathon Event. Now this will be the ultimate fan experience. All SEVEN movies. See the first six episodes in 2D, starting with the Phantom Menace, and conclude with The Force Awakens in 3D. Guests will also receive a lanyard featuring exclusive marathon art.

Regal Theatres will have Star Wars Saturdays which means each Saturday, from December 19 to January 9,  the first 500 guests who experience Star Wars: The Force Awakens in IMAX will receive a collectable ticket featuring unique Star Wars: The Force Awakens art.

AMC Theatres will have Star Wars Sundays with each Sunday, from December 20 to January 10, giving guests who purchase a ticket to see Star Wars: The Force Awakens in IMAX 3D an AMC-exclusive Star Wars print from artist Dan Mumford.

The film hits American theatres December 18th, 2015. If you live in Belgium, you get to see the movie in theaters first, as it hits three days earlier.

You can be the envy of all your friends and see it four days earlier by preordering tickets from Fandango which will  enter you into a sweepstakes for the chance to win a trip to the film’s world premiere in Los Angeles on December 14th. Moviegoers who purchase tickets within the first 24 hours can increase their chances to win. Additionally, ten runners-up can win a collectible “Dark Side” or “Light Side” prize pack.
