New Godzilla Trailer Shows A Flying Monster! Is It Rodan??

A new Godzilla trailer premiered in Asia this week, and about 30 seconds in a flying monster soars past the screen, much to the chagrin of a terrified Elizabeth Olsen (Scarlet Witch in the upcoming Avengers: Age of Ultron). Could this new flying kaiju (Japanese word that translates literally to "strange creature") be Rodan, Godzilla's long-time nemesis?

Could it be King Ghidorah, the three-headed dragon who is depicted in the concept art? Is our beloved lizard king the good guy in this movie?

Probably a little out of Column A, a little out of Column B.

All we know for sure is the new trailer shows a terrified Bryan Cranston speculating on what the military is keeping so hush-hush in their secret facility, siting "whatever it is that's in there...whatever it is they're guarding so carefully..., it's real. And God help us all"

This is followed by Aaron Taylor-Johnson asking "Can we kill it?" and Ken Watanabe solemnly answering, "I believe something can."

The trailer comes full circle as Taylor-Johnson speculates, "A monster," and a woman's voice over is heard right as Godzilla roars at the screen saying, "No. A God."

I don't know about you, but I am psyched as hell for this movie!!

Godzilla hits theaters on May 16th. Just three short weeks away.
