We kick off our Legendary Zelda Dark Horse giveaway! Pete and Ramon are back with two weeks of books to talk about, some good some not so good. Snake Eyes is dead, but will he rise again or is he gone for good? Order of the Forge continues to revolutionize the Founding Fathers. Pete's got some interesting opinions about Spider-Man Renew Your Vows. Broken World is off to a smashing start. Providence is not what it at first seemed. Mutanimals and Groot are surprize hits with the boys.

Pete's Basement Season 8, Episode 18 - 5.26.15

Pete and Ramon hit the roundtable for a rousing discussion of all things Secret Wars! An arena's worth of Battleworld side books dropped this week, and the boys are gonna' tell you how each of them stacks up. The Avengers meet The Ultimates in Ultimate End, She-Hulk leads a team of all-girl Avengers in A-Force, while Dr.Strange teams up with The Punisher over in Secret Wars: Battleworld! Captain America is trapped on Planet Hulk, and Gwen Stacy is trapped by...Mayor Osborn?!?!

Pete's Basement Season 8, Episode 17 - 5.19.15

With so much geek news to talk about, Pete and Ramon strain to pack it in to one episode. Plus, two weeks of books get reviewed. Finally the lady under the Thor helmet is revealed, and the boys are not surprised. Lady Killer concludes with high marks from Ramon. Spidey is entertaining Pete, and you know how happy that makes him. Asa Butterfield is rumored to be Marvel's movie pick for Peter Parker, in line with our report from last week. Don't delay! Pete's Basement Season 8, Episode 16 - 5.5.15

Ramon and Cheezeburger join Pete at the roundtable this week for a quick spoiler-free review of Marvel's Avengers: Age of Ultron, as well as the usual shenanigans and comic book revelry. Or is it reveille? Dark Horse's The Order of the Forge was a surprise hit for the boys, offering a new and entirely original take on Founding Father George Washington and The American Revolution! The boys will update you quick on the going-on in Convergence, and Endgame, well, ends! So does Fantastic Four and GI Joe, much to the chagrin of no one.

Pete's Basement Season 8, Episode 15 - 4.28.15

Pete and Ramon are back again, trying to make the best of a less than stellar week in the realm of comics. Convergence 3 hit stands, and Ramon is cringing at the thought of all the time travel that's to come. And not just in this title! Infinite Loop, as its name implies, is also filled to the brim with wibbly-wobbly, timey-wimey weirdness! Then there's Kaptara, that sees a space mission get thrown askew when it gets sucked into a wormhole. Not quite time travel, but still enough to unsettle Ramon's stomach. And you know what that means! EXTRA burps! But you're in luck!

Pete and Ramon are at the table to talk some more Convergence books! Batman meets Batman as Bruce Wayne meets his father Thomas from Earth 2! Two men who, through tragedy, have fallen down the same path in life. What will happen when they finally come face to face? Also, what happens when you mix The X-Men with HP Lovecraft? You get Behemoth, the new book drawn by JK Woodward from Monkeybrain Comics! And its Archie versus...The Predator?? Move over Arnold!

Tony Wolf, writer and artist of the comic Greenpoint of View joins Pete and Ramon in the Basement and rehash tales of bygone Brooklyn. Also! The secret history of Midtown Comics is revealed! Deadpool is, well, dead. Alivepool is a thing. There's fifty-million comics in Convergence, Pete vows to review them all (not really). Miles Morales gets slipped a mickey in the clutches of Hydra!
