Pete's Basement Season 9, Episode 1 - 1.11.16

Pete and Ramon are back to wish everybody a Happy New Year, and a Happy Season 9 of Pete's Basement! It's time to play catch-up for the last two weeks worth of books. The boys highlight some of their favorites, like the return of Swamp Thing to DC's role call, as well as newcomers Four Eyes and The Last Contract. Daredevil Season 2 and other comic tv shows are the talk of the town, and Basement Buddy Chris Craddock is launching a rocket! Say what now? That's right! Sciencey stuff as Chris explains a new type of engine he's designed! What are the boys most looking forward to in 2016?

Pete's Basement Season 8, Episode 34 - 9.29.15

Pete and Ramon hit the Basement for a round of books whose stories have concluded over the last several months. Nothing but gems this week cause you know the boys ain't got time to waste on no bullshit. This is just the first of a few of these series-ending episodes the PB Crew are setting out to do. With the focus always on #1s, the boys felt it was time to let yous know how some of those stories turned out, and which ones are without a doubt worth your time to read. Nothing but fun, exciting reads! THIS is what the Pete's basement Show is all about!

Pete's Basement Season 8, Episode 33 - 9.22.15

Pete and Ramon and Penny are kicking off the Halloween season early with a whole slew of zombie books to talk about that center around George Romero's original Night of the Living Dead from 1968. Ramon tells Pete he missed out when he didn't read Dark Horse's Paybacks, which pokes fun at superheroes and there (expensive) gadgetry. And speaking of gadgets, the future is a total technocracy in Tokyo Ghost. This was an odd one that the Crew had a lot of fun with.

Pete's Basement Season 8, Episode 24 - 7.14.15

Riding a sausage and peppers high from the Giglio Feast, the boys hit the roundtable to discuss all the news that is news this week. Pete and Ramon find themselves a new Steve for this episode, and they bring him up to speed on the events of Secret Wars, including this week's Civil War and Spider-Island. Dark Horse and Boom brought some unlikely winners to the table, but the biggest surprise hit for the boys was Mark Waid's Archie! And let's not forget the controversial movie castings this week! The boys levy their opinions on Marisa Tomei as Aunt May and Elodie Yung as Elektra!

Pete's Basement Season 8, Episode 12 - 3.31.15

Ramon and Pete have some new blood in the Basement this week! Rocket Man Chris returns to the roundtable with his friend and Sensei, John. Its time to (FINALLY!) talk The Big Bad in Batman Eternal! It definitely wasn't who the Basement Boys were expecting...until the end of course. What do we mean? You'll just have to watch! This week also brings you in depth discussions about dinosaur bung holes! Someone please get the acid proof toilet paper for the cast of Past Aways.

Pete's Basement Season 7, Episode 36 - 11.18.14

Everyone's gone nuts over in Marvel thanks to The Red Skull's Hate Wave, and Captain America, the Mighty Avengers, and Iron man are all feeling the ramifications of it! Pete and Ramon talk about where this could all be going, and how long its gonna' take to get there. Also out this week a creepy Men in Black meets Invasion of the Body Snatchers over in Deep State, superpowers in your past lives in Resurrectionists, and a late-night drive-in movie with killer snowmen in Grindhouse: Slay Ride. Oh yea -- and there's still a week to go on our Game of Thrones Iron Throne giveaway!

Pete's Basement Season 7, Episode 19 - 6.12.14

Pete and Pete begrudgingly make good on their bet with CollectorsComic.com creator Eddie DeAngelini and don their Kings championship shirts for this episode. The last two weeks saw a lot of great #1’s from Image, Dynamite, and BOOM!, including The Empty Man, The Blood Queen, Eye of Newt, and Thomas Alsop. Also Wildfire, Edward Grey: Tales of Unland, and The Lone Ranger! Who won the Zenith Press D-Day Giveaway? Who would win in a fight: Magneto or Galactus? Were the boys right about Nick Fury in Original Sin? Get to downloading and find out!

Illustrator and animator, Noella Borie, joins the Basement Crew to show off her new stop-motion animated feature Faceless Neil: Out of the Darkness! BOOM Studios holds the honor of Book of the Week! And the boys round out the roundtable discussion with offerings from Dynamite, Marvel, and DC, like Future's End, Chaos, Cyclops, Ultimate Spider-Man, and a crazy horror murder-mystery from Image appropriately titled Nailbiter.
