Batwoman team quits due to prohibited marriage

The most popular gay character in comics has lost her creative team. J.H. Williams III and W. Haden Blackman have left the book. According to them they fought hard to have Kate Kane (Batwoman) get engaged to Maggie Sawyer but were told that a marriage between the two could not happen. Issue 26 will be their last work on the book.

DC stated that their decision not allowing the marriage is not based on sexual orientation. Gail Simone stated that DC isn't allowing any marriages in their books. Read more »

Maybe I just don't get as 'drunk on the town' as much as I used to, but apparently they've been tapping this Superkeg at some popular hometown digs. Yes, in addition to being a costumed adventurer, it's an actual beer! An American black ale to be precise. I approve. I shall seek ye out, oh Superbeer, and drink thee verily. Kudos Brooklyn Brewery.
