Snow White and the Huntsman Writer to Pen G.I. Joe 3

Snake-Eyes GI Joe Movie

The writer of Snow White and the Hunstman, Evan Daugherty, has signed on to write the next installment of the GI Joe movie series. Jon M. Chu is back in the director's chair after his turn on GI Joe: Retaliation, which starred WWE superstar and actor Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson as the mountain of a man Roadblock.
I saw Snow White and it was actually a pretty good movie, with Charlize Theron stealing the entire show as The Wicked Queen. The movie had good action sequences and an overall engaging story. But really, I'm just thrilled to hear Paramount is making a third Joe movie! Hopefully we'll see Bruce Willis reprise his role as the original GI, General Joe Colton! Paramount has made a good amount of money with these movies, so here's hoping the third one does just as good.
As a Joe fan from way back, I watched the first one and thought, "It was as good as a GI Joe movie needed to be, and way better than it had any right to be." The second movie was just awesome! Cobra Commander in the faceplate armor was off the hook! I wish we could have seen more of him. And the sequence with Rza as the Blind Master fighting a blindfolded Jinx (ala GI Joe: The Movie, the animated feature from 1987) - well what more could an 80s kid ask for?
Daugherty has also helped out on the rewrite (edit: much needed rewrite) of Michael Bay's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film due out in 2015. Let's just hope they're not aliens anymore! He also cowrote the movie adaptaion of Divergent, the YA novel by Veronica Roth, starring Shailene Woodley.
